कावळ्यागड संवर्धन
वरंधा घाटाचा रक्षक, कोकण व घाट यांच्या सीमेवर असलेला महत्वपूर्ण किल्ला....
दळणवळणासाठी इंग्रजांनी या किल्ल्याचा (डोंगराचे) दोन भाग करून आताच वरंधा घाट बांधला....
इतिहासाच्या पानात अस्तित्व धुंडाळत असलेला हा दुर्ग काळाच्या ओघात नष्ट होण्याच्या मार्गावर आहे...किल्याच्या परिसरात शिवथर घळ हे समर्थ रामदास स्वामींचे वास्तव्याचे ठिकाण आहे...गडाच्या भौगोलिक स्थानावरून याच शिवकाळातील महत्व अधोरेखित होते...एकीकडं वेळवंड. हिरडस मावळ, समोर घाटावरून उतरणारे घाट..दुसरीकडे जावळी, राजगड, तोरणा, मोहणगड, अन त्याचा शिरोमणी दुर्गदुर्गेश्वर रायगड....
रायरेश्वर ते रायगड या पदभ्रमंती दरम्यान कावळ्यागडच्या संवर्धनाचा संकल्प परिवाराने केला. दिवाळीच्या मुहूर्तावर संवर्धन कार्यास सुरवात झाली. गडावर असलेले चौथरे झाडीमुक्त करण्यात आले. गडावर कुठेही पाणी नाही. एका गाळाने भरलेलं टाके आहे. त्यातील गाळ पूर्णपणे काढून साफ केले आहे. आता ते आम्हा दुर्गभटक्यांची तहान भागवत राहील.
गडाच्या इतिहाससंबंधित माहितीपर फलक घाटात लावण्यात आला. तसेच गडावर दिशादर्शक व स्थळदर्शक फलक लावले आहेत.
फाल्गुन वद्य तृतीयेला गडावर शिवजयंती साजरी करण्यात आली.
सध्या महितीफलक पूर्णपणे नाहीसा झाला आहे तो पुढील काळात लावण्याचा प्रयत्न असेल परिवाराचा.
